Haberdash is a mens clothing company in chicago. Over past three weeks, I shot their spring lookbook. We teamed up with 10 of chicago’s coolest chefs and did portraits of them in their restaurants. It was an awesome job and an honor to work with the Haberdash team. Thanks to Michael Corrigan a million times for everything he did to make this all happen. Above is a behind the scenes video from the shoot. If you look close, when were shooting Richie at Moto, Im standing on the arms of a chair in just my socks.
here’s the link to the website for the lookbook, click on the pdf on the right to see the pictures!
I made another one of these party videos for Chrome Bags. It was really fun! I shot it all with a 5D and a 16-35 mm lens, it makes everything look like a skateboarding video. I love Chicago and all the kids in it. watch it in HD!
Maggie and I are on the cover of DEMO magazine! I think the article is really well done and inspiring! We met a really nice guy at dinner last night who had read the article and said that he had moved to the burbs and had two kids and sells wine, and that he has a little painting studio in his basement, and that we inspired him to get back into his work. I almost cried. There’s no better gift in the world than to inspire someone. And to inspire someone to make art and express themselves is just fucking unbelievable! Were truly blessed.
I filmed these little acoustic sessions with my friend Bill Beckett a few weeks ago and MTV picked them up! so cool! Ive sucked at this blog, but its because Ive been busy, and doing great! so thats the best excuse! Enjoy
Im working for Billy Corgan’s RESISTANCE PRO Wrestling, its an upstart pro wrestling promotion in Chicago. Im really excited about the future of this young promotion and stoked to be able to help out where I can. Its a labor of love for me. I am working as a ringside cameraman and also doing some post production video work. I edited this trailer for their upcoming show this Friday at Excalibur!
Im currently in the largest city in the southern hemisphere, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Its beautiful! I really liked how there was just this one guy on his balcony in the endless cityscape. He’s just sitting, thinking about sweet stuff.
